Visit Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort with a lighthouse overlooking the Arabian Sea. Take a guided tour to learn about the history of the fort and enjoy the stunning views. In the afternoon, head to Candolim Beach, located nearby. Spend some time relaxing on the beach, swimming in the calm waters, and enjoying some of the beachside shacks for lunch. In the evening, head to Baga Beach for a delicious seafood dinner at one of the many beachside restaurants.
Explore the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Take a guided jeep tour through the lush green forests of the Western Ghats to reach the falls and enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural pool at the foot of the falls. In the afternoon, head back to Panaji and explore the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, with its colorful houses and narrow winding streets. In the evening, enjoy a river cruise along the Mandovi River, complete with live music and Goan folk dances.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Basilica of Bom Jesus, one of the oldest churches in Goa. Admire the Baroque architecture and the beautiful paintings and sculptures inside the church, including the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. In the afternoon, head to Anjuna Beach to enjoy some water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing. In the evening, head to the Saturday Night Market at Arpora for some shopping and delicious street food.
Explore the lush mangroves and spot some of the rare and exotic birds at the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, named after the famous Indian ornithologist. Take a guided boat tour through the sanctuary and learn about the different birds and their habitats. In the afternoon, head to Calangute Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa. Spend some time swimming, sunbathing, and trying out some of the beachside water sports. In the evening, head to Tito's Lane in Baga for some nightlife and clubbing.
Take a ferry ride from Old Goa to Divar Island, a quaint and charming island with beautiful old Portuguese houses and churches. Explore the island on foot or by bicycle, and visit the famous Our Lady of Compassion Church and the Saptakoteshwar Temple. Enjoy a traditional Goan lunch at one of the village restaurants, and try out some local delicacies. In the evening, head back to Panaji for some souvenir shopping at the Municipal Market.
Make sure to try out some of the local Goan cuisine such as fish curry, pork vindaloo, and bebinca. Don't forget to check out some of the other beaches in Goa such as Palolem Beach in South Goa or Morjim Beach in North Goa. If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the historic city of Hampi or the beautiful Dudhwa National Park.
