  1. Day 1: Manjarabad Fort
30 minutes (15 miles) from Sakaleskpur

Located on a hilltop, Manjarabad Fort was built by Tipu Sultan in 1792 during the Anglo-Mysore wars. The fort served as a strategic watchtower to keep an eye on the British Army as they marched towards Mangalore. In the morning, take a motorcycle ride to the fort and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. In the afternoon, head to the nearby coffee estates and learn about the coffee-making process. In the evening, visit the nearby Bisle viewpoint to witness the sunset over the mountains.

  2. Day 2: Sakaleshpur Green Route
1 hour (35 miles) from Manjarabad Fort

The Sakaleshpur Green Route is a scenic stretch of rail track passing through mountains, tunnels, and waterfalls. It was built by the British in the 1900s and abandoned in the 1990s. The route is now open for trekking and cycling. In the morning, take a motorcycle ride to the starting point of the Green Route and trek for about 3 hours to reach the Donigal station. Enjoy the scenic views and take pictures at the multiple waterfalls along the way. In the afternoon, ride to Manjehalli Waterfalls and take a refreshing dip in the water. In the evening, head back to Sakaleshpur and explore the local markets.
