A 3-Day Itinerary for Goa in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji

In the morning, visit the 450-year-old UNESCO heritage site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus. Then, take a stroll on the cobbled streets of Fontainhas, an old Latin Quarter, to see the colorful Portuguese-style houses. For lunch, try some traditional Goan cuisine at Viva Panjim. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Goa to learn about the state's rich history and culture. In the evening, take a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River to see the city's panoramic views.

  2. Day 2: Beach Day
1 hour 10 minutes (38.6 km) from Panaji

Start the day with a visit to the Aguada Fort, a 17th-century Portuguese fort with beautiful views of the Arabian Sea. Then, head to the Baga Beach for some relaxing beach time. For lunch, try some fresh seafood at Britto's, a popular beachside restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Anjuna Flea Market to shop for souvenirs and trinkets. In the evening, go to Club Cubana, a popular nightclub, for some drinks and dancing.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls

Start the day early and head to the Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy the scenic beauty of the falls. For lunch, pack a picnic and enjoy it near the falls. In the afternoon, visit the spice plantations to learn about the various spices and herbs grown in the region. In the evening, head back to Panaji and enjoy some drinks and dinner at the Black Sheep Bistro.

Recommendations

You may also consider visiting the Fort Aguada, Chapora Fort, and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. For side trips, you can visit the Gokarna Beaches or the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. To maximize your fun, try some adventure sports like parasailing, jet-skiing, and banana boat rides. I would also suggest trying the local feni drink and bebinca dessert.
