  1. Day 1: Mercara Traders' Market

The market is a great place to observe the local culture and interact with friendly people. In the afternoon, head to Coorg Cuisine for an authentic Kodava meal. The specialty of Coorg Cuisine is pandi curry (pork curry) served with akki roti (rice flatbread). End your day with a cup of Coorg coffee at the Goldfields Cafe, known for its aromatic and flavorful coffee.

  2. Day 2: The Fort Mercara

    Visit the Fort Mercara, a historical monument built in the 17th century. The fort has a museum that displays weapons, artifacts, and photographs of the Kodava community. In the afternoon, head to East End Hotel, the oldest restaurant in Madikeri, known for its biryani and Coorg-style chicken curry.
