Recommendations

If you have more time, you can also consider visiting the Kollur Mookambika Temple, which is located around 70 km from Udupi. Another option is to go on a trek to the Kodachadri hills, which are located around 80 km from Kundapur.

To maximize your fun, try the local seafood dishes like fish fry, prawn curry, and crab masala. Don't forget to try the famous 'Neer Dosa' and 'Kori Rotti' which are the signature dishes of the region.

For side trips, you can also visit the nearby beaches like Kaup Beach, Padukone Beach, and Maravanthe Beach. You can also go on a scenic drive through the Western Ghats and explore the lush green forests and waterfalls.

As a suggestion, it's best to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds. Bring comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Also, make sure to carry enough cash as some of the restaurants and shops may not accept cards.
