4-Day Mumbai City Experiences Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Gateway of India
    30 minutes (11.3 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

    In the morning, visit the iconic Gateway of India, an arched monument overlooking the Arabian Sea. Take a ferry to Elephanta Caves, an ancient cave network on Elephanta Island. In the afternoon, explore the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an impressive example of Victorian Gothic architecture. In the evening, enjoy a sunset view of the city from Marine Drive, a scenic promenade also known as the Queen's Necklace.

  2. Day 2: Dhobi Ghat
    20 minutes (7.5 km) from Gateway of India

    Start the day with a visit to the Dhobi Ghat, an open-air laundry where clothes are washed and dried in a traditional way. Then, head to the Haji Ali Dargah, a mosque and tomb located on a small island in the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, visit the Crawford Market, a bustling market selling everything from fresh produce to souvenirs. End the day with a Bollywood movie at the famous Regal Cinema.

  3. Day 3: Chor Bazaar
    30 minutes (9.6 km) from Dhobi Ghat

    Visit the Chor Bazaar in the morning, a famous flea market where you can find antiques, vintage items, and other curiosities. Then, head to the Nehru Science Centre, an interactive science museum with hands-on exhibits. In the afternoon, visit the Mahalakshmi Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess of wealth and prosperity. End the day with a walk around Bandra Fort, a historic fort with stunning views of the Arabian Sea.

  4. Day 4: Sanjay Gandhi National Park
    1 hour 20 minutes (32.5 km) from Chor Bazaar

    Spend the day at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, a large protected area in the northern part of Mumbai. Take a safari to see leopards, tigers, and other wildlife, or visit the Kanheri Caves, a complex of Buddhist rock-cut monuments. If you have time, visit the Global Vipassana Pagoda, a large meditation dome with a golden spire. End the day with a relaxing beach sunset at Gorai Beach.
