Exploring Cochin in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Kochi Beach
    10 minutes (3.4 km) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, head to Fort Kochi Beach to enjoy a view of the Chinese fishing nets. You can also visit the Indo-Portuguese Museum, which offers a glimpse into the history and culture of Cochin. In the afternoon, visit the St. Francis Church, which is the oldest European church in India. Later in the evening, take a leisurely stroll at the Marine Drive and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Hill Palace Museum
    50 minutes (15 km) from Fort Kochi Beach

    In the morning, visit the Hill Palace Museum, which was once the residence of the Maharaja of Kochi. The museum displays a vast collection of artefacts, including weapons, paintings, and jewellery. In the afternoon, head to the Dutch Palace, which is also known as Mattancherry Palace. The palace has a beautiful collection of murals and paintings. Later in the evening, you can explore the Jew Town and the Synagogue.

  3. Day 3: Cherai Beach
    1 hour 20 minutes (26 km) from Hill Palace Museum

    In the morning, visit the Paradesi Synagogue. It is one of the oldest active synagogues in the Commonwealth of Nations. In the afternoon, take a drive to the Cherai Beach, which is known for its serene environment and sunsets. Later in the evening, head to the Lulu Mall for some shopping and entertainment.

  4. Day 4: Athirappilly Falls
    2 hours 10 minutes (71 km) from Cherai Beach

    In the morning, visit the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica which is one of the finest and most impressive churches in India. In the afternoon, head to the Athirappilly Falls, which is one of the largest waterfalls in Kerala. You can also take a boat ride in the nearby Vazhachal Forest. Later in the evening, you can enjoy the local cuisine at the Malabar Junction Restaurant.
