The best way to explore Acadia is by car, and if you're traveling from out of state, renting one is recommended. The entrance fee to the park is $30 per vehicle for a week. If you're looking to save some travel costs, bike rentals are available within the park, averaging at $10 to $50 a day.
If you have more time to spare, consider visiting nearby communities such as Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor. These quaint towns have charming galleries, restaurants, and shops worth exploring. On the other hand, if you are short on time, skip the Precipice Trail hike, which requires some steep climbs and drops, and opt for a tamer Jordan Pond Loop Trail.
