Begin your adventure by exploring the historic Strasbourg Old Town. Walk through the cobblestone streets, see the stunning architecture, and stop at the iconic Strasbourg Cathedral. Take a canal tour to see the city from a different perspective and climb to the top to have panoramic views of the city.
Get your adrenaline pumping by heading to the Vosges Mountains. You can go hiking, mountain biking, or zip-lining. See the stunning views from the top of the mountain, and if you're feeling daring, try paragliding. If you have time, visit some of the Alsatian wine villages in the area.
For Day 1, you can either walk or take public transportation. For Day 2, drive or take a train from Strasbourg to the Vosges Mountains. If you choose to drive, consider renting a car. The round-trip train fare is approximately €30-€40 per person and the driving distance is approximately 150 km.
If you have more time, consider visiting some of the Alsatian wine villages or the Castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg. If you have less time, skip paragliding or the wine villages. Keep in mind that some attractions in Strasbourg might be closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly.
The Strasbourg Airport (SXB) is located approximately 10 km from the city centre. You can take the train or bus from the airport to the city centre. The other airport in the area is the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL/EAP/MLH), which is located approximately 100 km from Strasbourg.
