2-Day Netravati Trekking Itinerary from Bengaluru on a Motorcycle in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Bengaluru to Sakleshpur via Hassan
    Distance: 226 km; 4 hours 30 minutes
    Depart from Bengaluru early in the morning and head to Sakleshpur via Hassan. Stop at the picturesque Shettihalli Church on the way, which is surrounded by water during the monsoon season. Afternoon, take a break and fuel up at Sakleshpur, then head towards the scenic Green Route trek. Guided tours are available, and the trek takes about 3-4 hours to complete. Evening, ride to Sakleshpur town and explore the local markets and food joints.
  2. Day 2: Sakleshpur to Bengaluru via Kukke Subramanya
    Distance: 300 km; 6 hours
    Early morning, ride to Kukke Subramanya Temple, which is known for its beautiful architecture and scenic location surrounded by lush green hills. Afternoon, visit Bisle Ghat Viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Western Ghats. Later, ride back to Bengaluru via National Highway 75. Reach Bengaluru by evening.

Recommendations

If you have more time, visit the nearby Manjarabad Fort or the Belur and Halebidu temples. You can also try camping at the banks of the Hemavathi river. Additionally, you can take a detour to explore the coffee estates around Sakleshpur.
