3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    17 minutes (7.5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in Goa. Admire its Baroque architecture and the remains of St. Francis Xavier. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia, and marvel at its Portuguese-Gothic style. In the evening, stroll around the Fontainhas neighbourhood, known for its colourful Portuguese-style houses and art galleries.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 22 minutes (49 miles) from Panaji

    Spend the morning at Colva Beach, one of the largest and most popular beaches in South Goa. In the afternoon, drive to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India, and take a dip in its refreshing waters. On the way back, stop at the spice plantations of Ponda and learn about the region's agriculture. In the evening, try some traditional Goan cuisine at Fisherman's Wharf.

  3. Day 3: Fort Aguada
    24 minutes (7.5 miles) from Candolim Beach

    Begin the day with a visit to the Reis Magos Fort, a historic fort overlooking the Mandovi River. In the afternoon, head to Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort and lighthouse, and enjoy panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. End the day with a sunset river cruise on the Mandovi River, where you can spot dolphins and enjoy traditional Goan music and dance performances.
