Then, you can visit the Banasura Sagar Dam which is the second-largest earthen dam in Asia. In the evening, you can enjoy a campfire at the resort.
After breakfast, we recommend you visit Edakkal Caves which is a prehistoric site with ancient wall art. Then you can enjoy the scenic beauty of Soochipara Waterfalls and have lunch there. After that, you can explore the tea and spice plantations of Wayanad and learn how they are grown. In the evening, you can visit the Thirunelli Temple which is a UNESCO world heritage site and then return to the resort to relax.
After breakfast, we recommend you visit Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary which is a rainforest reserve known for elephants and tigers. You can take a jeep safari and spot various animals in their natural habitat. After that, you can visit the Jain Temple Wayanad and have lunch there. In the evening, you can explore the tribal village of Wayanad and learn about their culture and traditions.
After breakfast, we recommend you visit Chembra Peak which is the highest peak in Wayanad and offers a spectacular view of the surrounding valleys. Then you can visit the Begur Wildlife Sanctuary and have lunch there. After that, you can visit the Kuruvadweep Island which is a beautiful river island with dense forests. In the evening, you can return to the resort and enjoy a traditional Kerala cuisine dinner.
Wayanad is a land of surprises with a lot of hidden treasures. You can consider visiting the Neelimala Viewpoint, Meenmutty Waterfalls, Karapuzha Dam, and Valliyoorkavu Temple. If you have additional time, we recommend you take a side trip to the nearby town of Sultan Bathery which has a lot of historical significance. To maximize your fun, you can try bamboo rafting, zip-lining, and rock climbing. We recommend you try some of the local cuisine such as appam, Kerala biryani, and Malabar parotta. Lastly, we suggest you shop for some spices and handicrafts which are unique to Wayanad.
