Start your day early with a hike to the top of Yosemite Falls. The trail is strenuous, but the panoramic views from the top are worth it. In the afternoon, take a dip at the Lower Yosemite Falls Swimming Area. End your day at Glacier Point, where you can watch the spectacular sunset over Half Dome and Yosemite Valley.
Start your day with a scenic drive around Lake Tahoe. Stop at Emerald Bay State Park to hike the trails and gaze at the teal water of the bay. For lunch, check out the Lone Eagle Grille, where you can dine on fresh seafood while enjoying stunning views of the lake. In the evening, catch a concert at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys.
Start your day with a hike through Lady Bird Johnson Grove, where you can see some of the world's tallest trees. After lunch, take a scenic drive on the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway. End your day at Gold Bluffs Beach, where you can watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
If you have extra time, consider visiting the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne in Yosemite National Park or kayaking on Lake Tahoe. For a side trip, head to the nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park. To maximize your fun, consider staying in a cabin or camping in one of the parks. Don't forget to bring your camera!
