3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kerala in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Athirapally Waterfalls
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 miles) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, marvel at the stunning Athirapally Waterfalls that cascade down 80 feet into a pool below amidst lush greenery.     In the morning, explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including tigers, elephants, and the rare lion-tailed macaque. You can take a guided jungle trek, go bamboo rafting, or even take a boat ride on the Periyar Lake. In the afternoon, visit the Mangala Devi Temple, a ancient temple located in the heart of the forest, surrounded by mountains and streams. In the evening, learn about Kerala's indigenous spices at the Spice Plantations and take a leisurely walk through the spice gardens.

  3. Day 3: Varkala Beach
    4 hours 30 minutes (110 miles) from Thekkady

    In the morning, head to the Varkala Beach, which is known for its crystal clear waters and golden sands. You can go surfing, parasailing or simply relax under the sun. In the afternoon, visit the Varkala Cliff, which is a natural wonder that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. You can also walk along the cliff and explore the various shops and cafes. In the evening, witness the spectacular sunset from the top of the cliff, before enjoying a delicious seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants.
