Two-Day Nature Itinerary in Alibaug in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Alibaug Bus Stand

    In the morning, head to Alibaug Beach. Enjoy the serenity of the beach and take a dip in the Arabian Sea. Afterward, take a short drive to Varsoli Beach, a secluded beach with clear waters and white sand. Have a picnic on the beach or try some water sports like parasailing or banana rides. In the evening, head to Nagaon Beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Forts and Temples
    20 minutes (9.7 km) from Nagaon Beach

    In the morning, visit the Kolaba Fort, a 300-year-old fort located on an island in the Arabian Sea. Take a ferry ride to the fort and explore its ruins, which include a temple, a few wells, and a few small rooms. Afterward, head to the Kanhoji Angre Samadhi, a memorial dedicated to the Maratha Admiral Kanhoji Angre. In the afternoon, visit the revered Siddhivinayak Temple, which is known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings.

Recommendations

Don't miss the Kanakeshwar Forest, a dense forest located on a hilltop about 13 km from Alibaug. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and hikers. If you have time, consider taking a ferry to Mandwa and exploring the Mandwa Beach and the Mandwa Fort. You can also book a boat ride to the Underi Island and visit the Underi Fort.
