2-Day Adventure Itinerary from Bangalore to Udupi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kudremukh National Park
    6 hours (331 km) from Bangalore

    Start your day early and reach Kudremukh National Park by noon. Go on a trek in the lush green forests, climb the hills, witness the incredible waterfalls, and spot the rare wildlife. After lunch, visit the Hanuman Gundi Waterfall and explore the nearby tea estate. As the sun sets, head back to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

  2. Day 2: St. Mary's Island
    4 hours (100 km) from Kudremukh National Park

    Start your day early in the morning and head towards Malpe Beach. Take a ferry to St. Mary's Island, a beautiful basalt island with crystal clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Spend your morning exploring the island and taking in the breathtaking scenery. After lunch, return to Malpe Beach and enjoy some parasailing, jet skiing, and other water sports. As the sun sets, head back to Bangalore.

Recommendations

If you have some extra time, visit the Karkala Gomateshwara statue, a 42 feet tall statue of Lord Bahubali, and the Chaturmukha Basadi, a Jain temple in Moodbidri. You can also take a detour to Agumbe, known for its scenic beauty, trekking trails, and sunset views. Don't forget to try the local cuisine, especially the famous Udupi dosa and filter coffee.
