4-Day Itinerary for Goa in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    30 minutes (11 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Immaculate Conception Church, one of the oldest churches in Goa, built-in 1541. In the afternoon, explore Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Panaji, and stroll around the colorful heritage houses. In the evening, head to the Miramar Beach for a beautiful sunset view.

  2. Day 2: Visit Old Goa and Temples
    30 minutes (13 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Goa, which includes the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral, two of the most significant Catholic churches in India. In the afternoon, visit the Mangueshi and Shantadurga Temples, which are Hindu temples with beautiful architecture. In the evening, relax at the Baga Beach and enjoy the nightlife.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfall and Spice Plantation
    1 hour 30 minutes (60 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in India, surrounded by lush greenery. In the afternoon, head to the spice plantation and learn about the different spices grown in Goa. You can also enjoy a traditional Goan lunch here. In the evening, take a river cruise on Mandovi River.

  4. Day 4: Enjoy the beaches
    20 minutes (8 km) from Panaji

    Spend the morning at the Calangute Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa, and enjoy water sports. In the afternoon, visit the Anjuna Flea Market, which offers a range of souvenirs and handicrafts. In the evening, head to the Vagator Beach for a beautiful sunset view.

If you have an extra day, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, which is a paradise for bird lovers. You can also consider taking a day trip to the beautiful village of Divar Island.
