Nature-Filled 3-Day Itinerary from Bangalore to Mangalore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bisle Ghat
    4 hours 30 minutes (170 miles) from Bangalore

    Begin your nature-filled journey with an early morning drive to Bisle Ghat. Trek to the Bisle View Point in the morning to witness the breathtaking view of the Pushpagiri and Kumaraparvata mountain ranges, and the misty valleys below. After your trek, cool down at the nearby Mallalli Falls. Enjoy lunch at a nearby eatery and then visit the Kukke Subramanya Temple, located at the foot of the Kumara Parvatha.   2. Day 2: Jog Falls

    After breakfast, drive to the majestic Jog Falls, the second-highest plunge waterfall in India. Take a scenic walk to the viewpoint and admire the beauty of the falls as it gushes down from a height of 830 feet. Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant and then visit the Linganamakki Dam, a popular picnic spot and an ideal spot for birdwatching. In the evening, visit the Tyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Reserve and checkout the animals in their natural habitat.

  3. Day 3: Kudremukh National Park
    3 hours 40 minutes (95 miles) from Jog Falls

    Begin your final day with a beautiful morning drive to Kudremukh National Park, famous for its rolling grasslands, dense forests, and diverse wildlife. Start your day by trekking to the Kudremukh Peak and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After your trek, visit Kadambi Waterfall, a serene spot for a refreshing dip. In the afternoon, visit the Hanuman Gundi Falls and then head to the Kalasa Temple. End the day by taking a drive to the Manjarabad Fort to enjoy the sunset.

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can visit the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple, St. Mary's Island, or the Bekal Fort.
