3-Day Nature Itinerary from Bangalore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bannerghatta Biological Park
    30 minutes (16.7 km) from Bangalore

    Explore the richness of wildlife by visiting the Bannerghatta Biological Park in the morning. See tigers, lions, elephants, and bears at the safari park. Head to the zoo and butterfly park to witness the colourful creatures. Have a great lunch in the park's restaurant and enjoy a nature walk in the afternoon. Take an hour-long trekking experience to witness the giant rock formation, Uddigebande, and spot some rare birds and animals. In the evening, witness the sound and light show in the park.

  2. Day 2: Nandi Hills
    1 hour 30 minutes (60 km) from Bannerghatta Biological Park

    Start your day early by visiting the Nandi Hills, located north of Bangalore. Witness the beautiful sunrise from the top of the hill and grab some breakfast. Enjoy the scenic drive to the Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple, a 9th-century temple complex. Have your lunch and visit the Muddenahalli Museum, the birthplace of Sir M Visvesvaraya, one of India's greatest engineers. Hike up the hill's rocky terrain and enjoy the beautiful sunset view. Head back to your hotel in Bangalore for the night.

  3. Day 3: Shivanasamudra Falls
    2 hours 20 minutes (139 km) from Nandi Hills

    Start your day early to visit the Shivanasamudra Falls, located in the Mandya district. The falls are the perfect spot for beautiful photos and a refreshing morning walk. Head to the Gaganachukki and Bharachukki Falls and witness the stunning views. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant and visit the Talakadu Temples, located on the banks of the Kaveri River. Enjoy the sunset view at the Bheemeshwari Fishing Camp and head back to your hotel in Bangalore for the night.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, visit the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Cubbon Park, and Ulsoor Lake in Bangalore. Take a side trip to the Mysore Palace, Brindavan Gardens, and Srirangapatna Island. You can maximize your fun by hiring a private car or taxi for the whole day instead of public transport.
