6-Day Itinerary for Dwaraka and Somnath Temples in Gujarat

  1. Day 1: Reach Ahmedabad
    5 hours (236 miles) from Mumbai

    On your arrival at Ahmedabad, check-in to your hotel and rest for a while. Later, head out to explore the city's famous attractions, such as the Sabarmati Ashram, Kankaria Lake, and the Adalaj Stepwell. In the evening, shop for some souvenirs and try out some of the local delicacies.

  2. Day 2: Dwarkadhish Temple

    Begin your day early and drive to Dwarka to visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the most revered shrines in Gujarat. Explore the temple complex, which includes shrines dedicated to other gods and goddesses. After your visit, enjoy a relaxing stroll along the beach and take in the breathtaking view of the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Bet Dwarka and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple

  5. Day 5: Gir National Park
    1 hour and 30 minutes (37 miles) from Somnath Temple

    Embark on an early morning jeep safari at Gir National Park, the only place in the world where you can spot the majestic Asiatic lion in its natural habitat. Enjoy the park's scenic beauty and spot other wildlife species such as leopards, deer, and antelopes. Later, drive back to Somnath and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

  6. Day 6: Departure
    7 hours (308 miles) from Somnath Temple to Ahmedabad

    Check-out from your hotel and drive back to Ahmedabad to catch your flight back home.
