Recommendations

Other local attractions and experiences to consider include: the San Thome Basilica, which is a beautiful church built in the Gothic style; DakshinaChitra, which is a living museum that showcases the heritage of South India; and the Guindy National Park, which is a great place to go for a nature walk. If you have more time, you can take a day trip to Mahabalipuram, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has several temples and rock-cut caves.

To maximize your fun, try to sample the local cuisine as much as possible. Some local delicacies to try include dosa, idli, vada, and biryani. Take a walk around the city and explore the street food scene. You can also take a cooking class to learn how to make some of these dishes yourself.

Finally, don't forget to take breaks and stay hydrated. Chennai can get quite hot and humid, so it's important to take care of yourself.
