Start your trip by visiting the historic Aguada Fort which was built in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. Take in the panoramic views of the Arabian sea from the fort walls. Take a dip in Sinquerim beach which is located at the base of the fort. In the evening, head to the nearby LPK Waterfront to experience Goa's nightlife.
In the morning, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Basilica of Bom Jesus. This church holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, one of the patron saints of Goa. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Se Cathedral which is the largest church in Goa. Walk around the Panjim city center to enjoy the Portuguese influenced architecture and grab a bite at Viva Panjim in the evening.
Spend the day at the majestic Dudhsagar Falls, the fourth tallest waterfall in India. Take a dip in the natural pool formed at the base of the falls or trek to the top of the waterfall for a bird's eye view. Do keep in mind that the falls might be closed during the monsoon season if the water levels are too high.
In the morning, head to the Anjuna Flea Market which is only open on Wednesdays. The market is a great place to buy souvenirs, clothes, and jewelry. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Chapora Fort which was built in 1717 by the Portuguese. End the day at Curlies Beach Shack in Anjuna.
Spend the day at the beautiful Palolem Beach. Take a boat ride to see the dolphins, indulge in some water sports, or just relax on the beach. Visit the nearby Cabo De Rama Fort which is located on a cliff overlooking the Arabian sea. End the day with a seafood dinner at Little World in Palolem.
In the morning, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary which is home to a variety of local and migratory birds. Take a boat ride through the mangrove forests to spot the birds. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Goa Chitra Museum to learn about traditional Goan farming techniques and Goan history. End the day by taking a sunset cruise on the Mandovi river.
Do check out the vibrant nightlife of Baga and Calangute. If you are interested in water sports, visit Candolim Beach or Baga Beach. For a spiritual experience, visit the Shri Manguesh Temple or the Shanta Durga Temple. If you have time, take a day trip to the spice plantations of Ponda or the Portuguese influenced Old Goa.
