4-Day Itinerary for Indore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Lal Baag Palace
    20 min (5.3 km) from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport

    In the morning, visit the Lal Baag Palace, a magnificent Indo-Gothic style palace that was once the residence of the Holkar dynasty. Take a stroll in the gardens and admire the fountain and flower beds. For lunch, head to the nearby Sarafa Bazaar to try the famous Indori street food. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Kanch Mandir, a temple made entirely of glass and mirrors. In the evening, go for a walk in the nearby Kamla Nehru Park and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Rajwada Palace
    15 min (4.7 km) from Lal Baag Palace

    In the morning, visit the Rajwada Palace, a seven-story palace that combines Maratha, Mughal and French architectural styles. Afterward, head to the nearby Chhappan Dukan to indulge in some chaat and street food. In the afternoon, visit the Indore Museum to learn about the history and culture of the region. In the evening, take a stroll in the nearby Annapurna Temple and witness the evening aarti.

  3. Day 3: Patalpani Waterfall
    1 hr 15 min (41 km) from Rajwada Palace

    Take a day trip to Patalpani Waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery and a popular picnic spot. Dip your feet in the cool water and enjoy the view. On your way back, stop by the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary to spot some wildlife and take nature walks. In the evening, head to the 56 Dukan area for some shopping and dinner.

  4. Day 4: Omkareshwar Temple
    1 hr 50 min (77 km) from Patalpani Waterfall

    Take a day trip to the Omkareshwar Temple, a beautiful temple located on the banks of the Narmada river. Take a dip in the holy river and witness the evening aarti. On your way back, stop by the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the evening, head to the Sarafa Bazaar for some shopping and dinner.
