5-Day Itinerary for Amritsar, Vaishno Devi, Gulmarg in December 2023

  1. Day 1: Amritsar
    10 minutes (2.8 km) from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport

    Begin your day by visiting the holiest place for Sikhs, the Golden Temple. Enjoy the morning peace and immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere. Then, head to the historic Jallianwala Bagh memorial to learn about the tragic massacre that occurred in 1919. In the afternoon, visit the Partition Museum to learn about the impact of the India-Pakistan partition. For dinner, indulge in some authentic Punjabi cuisine at Kesar Da Dhaba.

  2. Day 2: Vaishno Devi
    2 hours 30 minutes flight from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport to Jammu Airport, followed by a 2-hour drive to Katra

    In the morning, take a helicopter ride to the Vaishno Devi temple and enjoy the scenic views. After returning to Katra, visit the Ardh Kuwari Cave, a holy site located halfway to the temple.
