The Lonavala Lake, also known as the Monsoon Lake, is a serene and picturesque spot that is a must-visit during the monsoons. The lake is surrounded by lush green hills and is perfect for a picnic or a boat ride. It is advisable to carry insect repellent as the area can be mosquito-infested.

Famous for its authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, Rama Krishna Restaurant is one of the best places to have lunch in Lonavala. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance and serves delicious thalis, vada pav, and misal pav.

  4. 3:00PM: Karla Caves
25 minutes (7.8 miles) from Rama Krishna Restaurant

The Karla Caves are one of the oldest Buddhist shrines in India and date back to 200 BC. The caves are famous for their intricate sculptures and architecture. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills from the top of the caves.

  5. 5:00PM: Tiger's Leap

Tiger's Leap is a cliff-top viewpoint that offers stunning views of the Lonavala and Khandala valleys. The view from the top is especially breathtaking during sunset. Visitors can enjoy tea and snacks at one of the many food stalls near the viewpoint.

Recommendations

If you have more time, you can also visit the Wax Museum, Lohagad Fort, and the Kune Falls. You can also take a side trip to the nearby hill station of Khandala.
