Four-Day Adventure in Coorg and Chikamangalore

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls, Coorg
    30 minutes (9.3 miles) from Madikeri

    In the morning, start your adventure with a refreshing dip at the Abbey Falls, one of the most popular waterfalls in Coorg. You can reach the falls by walking through the scenic coffee plantations and listening to the birds chirping. In the afternoon, explore the Madikeri Fort, which was built in the 17th century and features a museum of historical artifacts. In the evening, enjoy a sunset view at Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, Chikamangalore
    1 hour and 50 minutes (62.1 miles) from Madikeri

    Spend your morning exploring the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to tigers, elephants, leopards, and other wildlife. This sanctuary is also a bird watcher's paradise, with over 250 species of birds. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Kudremukh National Park, which is known for its trekking trails and scenic views.     On your last day, visit the Omkareshwara Temple, a beautiful temple built in the 18th century. The architecture of the temple is a mix of Gothic and Islamic styles. In the afternoon, visit the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can interact with elephants and take a ride on their backs. End your adventure with a visit to the Nisargadhama Forest, a beautiful forest spread across 64 acres.
