Transportation

Public transportation systems are well-structured within major towns in Chalkidiki. Hiring a car for day trips is, however, recommended to witness its true beauty. It allows travellers to visit all the sites at their own pace, and at the same time, enjoy the beauty that highways offer. Taxis are also common, but they can be expensive: a reasonable estimation for the cost of transportation is €50/day.

Useful Tips

If you have additional time, visit Stagira's ancient city, the birthplace of philosopher Aristotle, or take an adventurous dive from PADI Dive Center. Always have a taste of the traditional Greek, a must-have Makaronada, Greek Spinach Pie, and Giro after a day's tour.
