Delhi to Hemkund Sahib 7-Day Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Delhi to Rishikesh
    6 hours, 240 km

    Arrive in Delhi and travel to Rishikesh. Morning visit to the Beatles Ashram, afternoon shopping and street food in Laxman Jhula, and evening Ganga Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan.

  2. Day 2: Rishikesh to Joshimath
    9 hours, 270 km

    Drive to Joshimath, stop at Devprayag for breakfast, and visit the ancient temple of Kalpavriksha. Afternoon visit to Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, and evening stargazing at Auli.

  3. Day 3: Joshimath to Govindghat to Ghangaria
    5 hours, 26 km

    Drive from Joshimath to Govindghat, take a helicopter ride to Ghangaria, and start the trek to Valley of Flowers. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, lunch by the river, and evening at the hotel in Ghangaria.

  4. Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib
    6 hours, 6 km

    Start early morning trek to Hemkund Sahib, have breakfast at the Gurudwara, and explore the surroundings. Return to Ghangaria in the afternoon, and relax at the hotel.

  5. Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat to Rudraprayag

  6. Day 6: Rudraprayag to Haridwar to Rishikesh

    Drive to Haridwar, visit Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple. Afternoon visit to Har Ki Pauri ghat for the Ganga Aarti ceremony. Evening return to Rishikesh and relax by the river.

  7. Day 7: Rishikesh to Delhi

    Depart from Rishikesh and return to Delhi. Morning visit to Qutub Minar, afternoon shopping in Connaught Place, and evening visit to Lotus Temple.
