4-Day Itinerary for Katra, Shimla, Kufri

1. Day 1: Katra
   45 minutes (30.2 km) from Jammu Airport

   Morning: Visit Vaishno Devi Temple, a popular Hindu pilgrimage site. You can reach this temple by trekking for around 12 km from Katra or by riding a pony or a helicopter.

3. Day 3: Kufri

   Afternoon: Head to Kufri Fun World, an amusement park with various rides and activities. You can also visit the Mahasu Peak, located 7 km from Kufri, which offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan range.
   Evening: Take a walk around the local markets of Kufri, buy some souvenirs or try some local snacks.

4. Day 4: Shimla
   30 minutes (16.8 km) from Kufri

   Morning: Visit the Jakhu Temple, located at the top of Jakhu Hill, which is the highest peak in Shimla. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and offers a stunning view of the city.
   Afternoon: Explore the Shimla State Museum, which displays the cultural and historical heritage of Himachal Pradesh. You can also visit the Annandale, a beautiful flat terrain, which is now used as a helipad and a playground for the army.
   Evening: Take a final walk on the Mall Road and enjoy some last-minute shopping or try some local delicacies.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit the Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, which is just a 3-hour drive from Shimla. You can also take a toy train from Shimla to Kalka, which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. Make sure to book your tickets in advance as they sell out quickly.
