2-Day Adventure Itinerary in Sakleshpura, June 2023

  1. Day 1: Manjarabad Fort
    30 minutes (10.4 miles) from Sakleshpura town

    Morning: Start your day with a trek to Manjarabad Fort. Built in 1792, this star-shaped fort offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and is a great place for history buffs and adventure seekers alike. The trek to the fort is quite challenging, so make sure to bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water. Afternoon: Head to the Hemavathi Dam for some water sports and activities. Kayaking and boating are popular here, but you can also try your hand at fishing or just relax by the water. Evening: End your day with a visit to the Bisle View Point. Located at a height of 1,000 metres, this viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Make sure to bring a camera to capture the sunset over the mountains.

  2. Day 2: Manjehalli Waterfalls
    45 minutes (18.6 miles) from Sakleshpura town

    Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Manjehalli Waterfalls. Located amidst lush green forests, these falls offer a serene and picturesque setting. You can take a dip in the cool waters or just relax by the falls. Afternoon: Head to the Green Route trek. This 14 km trek takes you through some of the most scenic and untouched parts of the Western Ghats. You'll pass through dense forests, rolling hills and stunning valleys. The trek can take up to 6 hours, so make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. Evening: End your day with a visit to the Hadlu Waterfalls. Located near the Green Route trek, these falls are a great place to relax and unwind after a long trek. You can also take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature.

If you're up for more adventure, you can try rock climbing at the Ombattu Gudda or trek to the Kukke Subramanya Temple. You can also take a side trip to the nearby coffee plantations and learn about the coffee making process.
