The Sinhagad Fort is a must-visit historical fort located at a distance of 30 km southwest of Pune city. Start your day early to avoid the rush. The fort's history dates back to the 17th century and is an excellent spot for history buffs. The fort offers a breathtaking view of the Sahyadri Mountains. Trek up to the top of the fort and explore the ruins of the fort. The trek is adventurous and will take around 2-3 hours. Don't forget to carry water and some snacks.
Start your day with a visit to Shaniwar Wada Fort. The fort was built in 1732 and is a perfect place for history lovers. The fort's highlights include the Thorlya Rayancha Diwankhana and the grand Nagarkhana Darwaja. Spend around two hours exploring the fort.
After lunch, head to the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is one of the most popular temples in Pune. Spend around an hour at the temple, admiring its architecture and seeking blessings.
Spend your last day exploring Lavasa City, a planned hill station near Pune. The city has an Italian-style setting and offers beautiful lakeside views. Explore the city's cafes, restaurants, and shops. Enjoy some water sports like jet skiing, kayaking, and boating. If you're up for some adventure, go for a trek in the nearby hills.
Other attractions you can consider visiting are the Aga Khan Palace, the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, and the Parvati Hill. You can also plan a day trip to Lonavala, which is a popular hill station 66.6 km from Pune.
