Nashik Family Friendly Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Pandavleni Caves

    Start the day with a visit to the Pandavleni Caves, a group of 24 rock-cut caves dating back to the 1st century BC. These caves are a great example of ancient Indian rock-cut architecture and are a beautiful sight to behold. Take a guided tour of the caves and learn about their history and significance. Afternoon, head to Sula Vineyards, India's leading winery and enjoy a wine-tasting tour. End the day with a visit to the beautiful Sita Gufaa, a peaceful cave temple where you can enjoy the serenity and peace.

  2. Day 2: Someshwar Waterfall
    1 hour 30 minutes (65.5 km) from Nashik Road Railway Station

    Start the day with a visit to the beautiful Someshwar Waterfall, one of the most scenic natural wonders in Nashik. Take a dip in the cool, refreshing water and enjoy the serene surroundings. Afternoon, head to the beautiful Trimbakeshwar Temple, one of the most important Hindu temples in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a great example of ancient Indian temple architecture. End the day with a visit to Saptashrungi Devi Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to the goddess Saptashrungi. The temple is perched atop a hill and offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Recommendations

If you have more time to spend in Nashik, consider visiting the Anjaneri Fort, a beautiful hill fort located near the city. You can also take a day trip to the beautiful Bhandardara, a scenic hill station located a few hours away from Nashik. For those interested in history, a visit to the Coin Museum is highly recommended. You can also indulge in some local street food and try some of the amazing chaat and vada pav that Nashik is famous for.
