Visit Xcaret, the eco-archaeological park, to experience Mexican culture and nature. Swim in underground rivers, explore caves and cenotes, and see exotic animals like jaguars and sea turtles. End the night with a spectacular show highlighting Mexican traditions and folklore.
Shop at La Isla Shopping Village for souvenirs and brand name stores. Have a farewell dinner at one of Cancun's gourmet restaurants, like Puerto Madero or Lorenzillo's, before ending the night with one last memorable party.
Consider taking a taxi or hiring a private driver for day trips outside of Cancun. Uber is not available in Cancun. Renting a car is an option, but insurance is highly recommended.
If you have more time, consider adding a day trip to Chichen Itza to see one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. If you have less time, skip Isla Mujeres or Cozumel Island. Make sure to pack plenty of sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and cash.
Cancun International Airport (CUN) is located 11 miles (17 km) from Cancun's city center. It is the second busiest airport in Mexico and serves many international flights.
