3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Chikmagalur in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mullayanagiri Peak
    30 minutes (12.7 km) from Chikmagalur city center

    In the morning, visit Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. Take a 3 km trek to the summit and experience the breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. In the afternoon, visit Kavikal Gandi Viewpoint, a scenic spot to enjoy the stunning views of coffee plantations. Chikmagalur is also home to many temples and historical sites. Do visit the Veerabhadra Temple, Belavadi, and the ancient Hoysala temple, Kalaseshwara Temple. A side trip to the nearby town of Halebidu, known for its ancient Hoysala architecture, is also recommended.
