Begin your day with an early morning safari at the Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple (BRT) Wildlife Sanctuary to witness the diversity of flora and fauna of BR hills. The sanctuary is home to a wide range of wildlife including tigers, leopards, elephants and bears. A naturalist guide will accompany you.
After the safari, check-in at the K Gudi Wilderness Camp. The camp offers luxurious rooms with beautiful views of the hills. The resort also has a swimming pool, spa and a restaurant that serves delicious local cuisine.
After lunch, visit the Rangaswamy Hill which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding hills. There is also a temple at the top dedicated to Lord Rangaswamy which is frequented by locals and tourists alike.
Visit the Dodda Sampige Mara, also known as the Big Champak Tree, which is one of the oldest and largest trees in the region. The tree has a girth of over 20 feet and is believed to be over 200 years old. The tree is also considered sacred by the locals.
End your day with a visit to the Bheemeshwari Adventure and Nature Camp, which offers a range of activities including trekking, fishing, kayaking and coracle rides. The camp is located on the banks of the Cauvery River and is surrounded by lush green forests.
If you have time, you can also visit the Kunti Betta trek, which is a popular trekking destination in the region. The trek offers stunning views of the hills and is not very difficult. Another option is the Kokkare Bellur Bird Sanctuary which is located about an hour's drive from BR hills and is home to a variety of birds including painted storks and pelicans. You can also visit the nearby town of Mysore which is famous for its palaces and gardens.
