3-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Beaches
    15 minutes (5.2 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your trip in Goa by visiting its world-famous beaches. Begin with Calangute Beach, known for its beautiful golden sand and clear waters. Spend your morning lounging on the beach, sunbathing or swimming. For lunch, head to Britto's, a beach shack famous for its seafood and cocktails. After lunch, visit Anjuna Beach, famous for its weekly flea market. Walk around the market, haggle with vendors and buy souvenirs. Catch the sunset at Vagator Beach, known for its stunning red cliffs, and enjoy dinner at one of the beach shacks.

  2. Day 2: Explore Old Goa
    45 minutes (18.6 miles) from Calangute Beach

    Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most famous churches in Goa. Spend the morning exploring the church and the adjoining museum. For lunch, head to Viva Panjim, a restaurant that serves traditional Goan cuisine like fish curry and pork vindaloo. After lunch, visit the Se Cathedral, the largest church in Asia dedicated to St. Catherine. End your day at the St. Augustine Tower, the ruins of a 16th-century church, and a popular spot to watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Visit Goa's Spice Plantations
    1 hour 20 minutes (35 miles) from Se Cathedral

    Visit one of the many spice plantations in Goa and learn about the history of spices and their importance in Goan cuisine. Take a guided tour of the plantation and see how spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg are grown and harvested. For lunch, enjoy a traditional Goan meal made with spices from the plantation. In the afternoon, head to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. Take a dip in the cool waters of the falls or take a jeep safari to explore the surrounding forest. End your day with a visit to the Mangeshi Temple, one of the most famous temples in Goa.

If you have more time in Goa, make sure to visit the Reis Magos Fort, which offers stunning views of the Mandovi River. You can also take a day trip to the nearby village of Divar, known for its scenic beauty and rich history. If you're feeling adventurous, try out some water sports like parasailing or jet skiing at Baga Beach. Finally, make sure to try out some of Goa's famous nightlife. Tito's and Club Cabana are two of the most popular nightclubs in the area.
