Nature Lover's Itinerary for 3 Days in Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 15 minutes (28.5 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Start your day by visiting the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a variety of animals such as the Indian Bison, leopards, and deer. The sanctuary has a mini zoo, botanical gardens and nature trails. In the afternoon, take a short drive to the Tambdi Surla Temple, one of the oldest temples in Goa, surrounded by lush green forests. In the evening, head to the Salaulim Dam where you can enjoy a picturesque sunset, or choose to go on a boat ride.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary
    1 hour 40 minutes (44.7 miles) from Day 1's location

    Experience the majestic Dudhsagar Waterfalls and enjoy the view of the milky white water cascading down from a height of 1017 feet. In the afternoon, visit the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna such as tigers, leopards, bonnet macaques, and many species of birds. Take a leisurely walk along the sanctuary's nature trails, or explore the ancient Tambdi Surla Temple nearby. In the evening, head back to your hotel and relax.

  3. Day 3: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and Arvalem Caves
    1 hour 20 minutes (28.5 miles) from Day 2's location

    Begin your day with a boat ride through the mangroves of the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, home to a variety of resident and migratory birds such as the osprey, black heron, and the white-bellied sea eagle. In the afternoon, visit the Arvalem Caves, a set of six rock-cut caves that date back to the 6th and 7th centuries. You can also explore the nearby Arvalem Waterfalls, and the famous Rudreshwar Temple. In the evening, head back to your hotel and relax before your departure.

Recommendations

There are several other attractions that you can visit in Goa such as the Spice Plantations, Chapora Fort, and the Divar Island. You can also take a side trip to the nearby state of Karnataka, and explore the Gokarna Beaches, and the Murdeshwar Temple.
