Two Days in Chikkamagaluru

  1. Day 1: Mullayanagiri Peak
    30 minutes (12.6 km) from Chikkamagaluru

    Start your day early with a scenic drive to Mullayanagiri peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. The drive takes about 30 minutes from Chikkamagaluru. Once you reach the base, it takes about 30 minutes to trek to the top of the peak. You will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Spend your morning trekking and taking in the views. After lunch, head to Hebbe Falls, located about 2 hours away. The falls are surrounded by dense forests and coffee plantations. You can take a dip in the cool waters or take a short trek to the top of the falls. Spend your evening enjoying the natural beauty of the falls.

  2. Day 2: Coffee Plantation Tour and Baba Budangiri
    20 minutes (10.5 km) from Chikkamagaluru

    Start your day with a tour of a coffee plantation. You can learn about the process of growing and harvesting coffee beans and even taste some freshly brewed coffee. The tour takes about 2 hours. After the tour, head to Baba Budangiri, located about 1 hour away. The scenic drive takes you through winding roads surrounded by lush green hills. At Baba Budangiri, you can visit the Dattatreya Peetha, a shrine dedicated to the Hindu god Dattatreya. The shrine is located on top of a hill and offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Spend your evening watching the sunset and enjoying the cool breeze.

If you have time, consider visiting the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, located about 1.5 hours away from Chikkamagaluru. You can spot a variety of wildlife such as tigers, elephants, and leopards.
