Start your day at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, a beautiful forest reserve nestled in the heart of Mumbai. Spend your morning hiking through lush greenery, up to Kanheri Caves, a complex of over 100 Buddhist caves containing sculptures and inscriptions dating back to the 1st century BC. For lunch, head to the park's canteen for some tasty Indian snacks. After lunch, take a 30-minute safari ride to spot some of the park's 270 bird species, as well as leopards, deer and monkeys. End the day with a visit to the park's tranquil Tulsi Lake.
Get an early start and head to Diveagar Beach, a popular spot for water sports and adventure activities. In the morning, try your hand at parasailing, jet skiing, or banana boat rides. After lunch, explore the nearby fishing village of Harihareshwar, and take a dip in the town's natural hot springs. End your day with a beautiful sunset at Diveagar Beach, before heading back to Mumbai in the evening.
For more adventure activities, consider heading to Lonavala to go trekking in the Sahyadri Mountains or paragliding off of Kamshet. If you have an extra day, take a day trip to Matheran, a quaint hill station with stunning views and plenty of hiking trails.
