  1. Day 1: Leh Palace
15 mins (3.6 km) from Leh

Explore the nine-storey palace built in the 17th century by King Sengge Namgyal. Learn about its history and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains from the roof. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, a Buddhist monastery with a huge gold statue of Maitreya Buddha.

  2. Day 2: Nubra Valley
4 hours (120 km) from Leh

Start early to visit the picturesque Nubra Valley, famous for its sand dunes, monasteries, and hot springs. Cross the Khardung La pass, the highest motorable road in the world, and visit the Diskit Monastery, where you can witness the morning prayer ceremony. Take a camel ride on the sand dunes and end the day at the Panamik Hot Springs.

  3. Day 3: Hemis National Park

Drive to the breathtaking Pangong Tso lake, known for its crystal-clear waters that change colours throughout the day. Stay overnight in a campsite near the lake.

  5. Day 5: Magnetic Hill

On your last day, visit the Magnetic Hill, a unique spot where the layout of the area and the surrounding hills create an optical illusion that makes cars appear to roll uphill. Afterward, visit the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a beautiful Sikh temple built to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to Ladakh. End the day at the Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
