Exploring Tunganath Valley of Flowers in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrival at Joshimath
    From Jolly Grant Airport to Joshimath (9 hours, 270 km)

    Arrive at Joshimath and check-in to your hotel. Spend the morning enjoying the scenic beauty of Joshimath. In the afternoon, visit Narsingh Temple, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Narsingh. As the sun sets, head to Cafe Buranshah for a cup of tea with a stunning view of the Himalayas.

  2. Day 2: Auli Ropeway and Gurson Bugyal Trek
    From Joshimath to Auli Ropeway (20 minutes, 10 km)

    Take the Auli Ropeway to reach Auli, a popular skiing destination. From there, embark on a beautiful trek to Gurson Bugyal, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The trek is an easy one and suitable for beginners. Have a packed lunch amidst the serene surroundings and return to Auli by evening.

  3. Day 3: Tunganath Temple Trek
    From Joshimath to Chopta (2 hours, 80 km)

    Drive to Chopta, the base camp for the Tunganath Temple Trek. The trek is a challenging one, but the stunning views of the Himalayas and the beautiful meadows make it worth it. Stop at the Tunganath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, and take in the peaceful surroundings. Return to Chopta by evening.

  4. Day 4: Exploring Chopta
    From Chopta to Deoria Tal (1.5 hours, 25 km)

    Start your day with a visit to Deoria Tal, a beautiful lake surrounded by lush greenery. The calm waters of the lake reflect the stunning surroundings, making it a perfect spot for photography. In the afternoon, visit the Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of Himalayan wildlife. Enjoy a cup of tea at the sanctuary's cafeteria before returning to your hotel.

  5. Day 5: Departure from Joshimath
