3-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Chikmagalur, Netravati Peak, Charmadi Ghat, and Sakleshpur in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Chikmagalur
    2 hours 30 minutes (105 km) from Bangalore

    Morning: Kick-off your adventure by visiting the Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, located in the Baba Budangiri Range. It is a 3 km trek from the Sarpadari point to reach the peak and experience breathtaking views.
    Afternoon: Head to the Hebbe Falls, located 70 km from Chikmagalur. Through the narrow and steep path, you will come across the lush greenery and mesmerizing waterfalls. Spend some time here to rejuvenate yourself in the lap of nature.
    Evening: End your day by visiting the coffee plantations of Chikmagalur. Take a tour of the coffee estates and witness the process of coffee-making, followed by a coffee-tasting session.

  2. Day 2: Netravati Peak and Charmadi Ghat
    1 hour 40 minutes (60 km) from Chikmagalur to Netravati Peak and 1 hour 10 minutes (40 km) from Netravati Peak to Charmadi Ghat

    Morning: Start your day early and head to the Netravati Peak, which is situated in the Western Ghats of the Kudremukh National Park. It is a 10 km trek, and it takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete. The trek route passes through dense forests and offers beautiful views of the Kudremukh range.
    Afternoon: After the trek, head to the Charmadi Ghat to experience the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats. The Charmadi Ghat is a 17 km stretch and is known for its sharp hairpin bends, making it a popular destination among riders.
    Evening: End your day with a visit to the Adhishakthyathmaka Annapoorneshwari Temple, located at Horanadu. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Annapoorneshwari and is one of the most visited temples in the region.

  3. Day 3: Sakleshpur
    2 hours 30 minutes (134 km) from Charmadi Ghat and 3 hours (145 km) from Bangalore

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the Sakleshpur Railway Station, which is a part of the Southern Railway. This railway station is known for its beautiful architecture and is a popular spot among photographers.
    Afternoon: After the visit, head to the Manjarabad Fort, which is a star-shaped fort built by Tipu Sultan. The fort offers panoramic views of the Western Ghats and is a popular spot for trekking and camping.
    Evening: End your day by visiting the Bisle View Point, which is located on the border of Hassan and Coorg districts. This viewpoint offers an unobstructed view of the Western Ghats and is an ideal spot to watch the sunset.
