Exploring Chidambaram in 3 Days

  1. Day 1: Chidambaram Nataraja Temple

The temple is known for its unique architecture, colourful carvings and sculptures of various Gods and Goddesses. Afterward, head to the Narayana Vidyashramam, a school that imparts traditional knowledge in music, dance and Sanskrit. In the afternoon, visit the Sattanathar Temple, located about 4 km from the city, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams. In the evening, explore the Chidambaram Beach, located about 7 km from the city, where you can relax, take a stroll and watch the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Pitchavaram Backwaters
    30 minutes (17 km) from Chidambaram Bus Stand
