Adventure in Chikmagalur - 3 Day Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Mullayanagiri Peak
    1 hour 20 minutes (40 miles) from Chikmagalur

    In the morning, we will embark on a challenging trek up Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka. The scenic trail will lead us through lush forests and rocky terrain, and we will be rewarded with breathtaking views from the top. In the afternoon, we will visit the nearby Jhari Waterfalls, where we can relax and take a dip in the refreshing waters. For dinner, we will head to The Serai Chikmagalur for a delicious meal and some well-deserved rest.

  2. Day 2: Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour (28 miles) from Chikmagalur

    In the morning, we will go on a thrilling jeep safari in Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, home to tigers, elephants, sloth bears, and a variety of birds. After the safari, we will visit the sprawling Hebbe Falls, where we can trek, swim, or just admire the natural beauty. In the evening, we will head back to Chikmagalur for a visit to the Coffee Museum and a traditional Kannadiga meal at The Planters Court.

  3. Day 3: Kudremukh National Park
    2 hours 30 minutes (68 miles) from Chikmagalur

    Our final day will be spent exploring the stunning Kudremukh National Park, known for its rolling hills, dense forests, and diverse wildlife. We will go on a guided trek to the Kudremukh Peak, passing through grasslands, shola forests, and waterfalls. After the trek, we will visit the nearby Kadambi Falls and Hanuman Gundi Falls. We will end our adventure with a dinner at the Shanthi Kunnj Homestay, where we can relax and reminisce about our amazing trip.
