Transportation

The Vigo-Guixar train station is also located in the city center, and trains run to other nearby towns and cities.

If you have more time to spare, consider taking a boat trip to the nearby Cíes Islands, which are a protected nature reserve with stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. Alternatively, you can take a wander around the beautiful gardens of the Quiñones de León Museum, which is located near Samil Beach. If you have less time, skip the Pazo de Cea and spend more time exploring Casco Vello, or head to the Vigo Contemporary Museum of Art instead.

Airports

Vigo has one airport, Peinador Airport (VGO), located just outside the city. It handles domestic and international flights, with regular connections to Madrid and Barcelona. The airport is roughly 12 km from the city center, and a taxi ride should take around 20 minutes and cost around €20.
