7-Day Budget Itinerary for Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamnotri, Gangotri, and Haridwar in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Haridwar
    From Delhi (125 miles, 3 hours and 30 minutes drive)

    Start your day by attending the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri ghat. In the afternoon, visit the Mansa Devi Temple by cable car and enjoy the view of the city from above. End your day with a visit to the Chandi Devi Temple.

  2. Day 2: Yamunotri
    From Haridwar (133 miles, 6 hours drive)

    Start your early morning drive to Yamunotri and take a dip in Yamuna river. Visit the Yamunotri temple and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. In the evening, relax at one of the hot springs in the area.

  3. Day 3: Gangotri
    From Yamunotri (112 miles, 6 hours drive)

    Drive to Gangotri and visit the Gangotri temple. Enjoy the beautiful views of the place on your way. In the evening, take a walk around the town and try some local street food.

  4. Day 4: Kedarnath
    From Gangotri (167 miles, 9 hours drive)

    Start your day early and drive to Gaurikund, the base camp for Kedarnath. From there, trek to Kedarnath temple or take a pony/doli ride. Spend some time exploring the temple and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

  5. Day 5: Badrinath
    From Kedarnath (123 miles, 6 hours drive)

    Drive to Badrinath and visit the Badrinath temple. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund and explore the Mana village, the last Indian village before Tibet. In the evening, attend the Badrinath Aarti.

  6. Day 6: Haridwar
    From Badrinath (186 miles, 9 hours drive)

    Drive back to Haridwar and spend your day exploring the markets and trying some local food. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti for one last time.

  7. Day 7: Departure
    From Haridwar to Delhi (125 miles, 3 hours and 30 minutes drive)

    Depart from Haridwar to Delhi for your return flight or further travel.
