4-Day Adventure Itinerary in Chikkamagaluru in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mullayanagiri
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Chikkamagaluru

    Start your day early with a trek up Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka. The trek will take approximately 2-3 hours, but the stunning views of the Western Ghats from the top will be worth it. After the trek, you can have breakfast at one of the local cafes and try the famous local coffee. In the afternoon, visit the Baba Budangiri shrine and explore the nearby tea gardens. In the evening, head to Hirekolale Lake for a peaceful stroll and beautiful sunset.

  2. Day 2: Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 15 minutes (35 miles) from Chikkamagaluru

    Spend your day in the wild at the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, home to various species of flora and fauna like tigers, leopards, elephants, and more. Take a jeep safari through the sanctuary in the morning and spot some wildlife. After the safari, take a nature walk and explore the lush greenery of the sanctuary. In the evening, visit the Manikyadhara Falls, located nearby and take a refreshing dip in the cool waters.

  3. Day 3: Kudremukh National Park

    Drive to Kudremukh National Park in the morning, a beautiful forest reserve known for its rich biodiversity and scenic beauty. Take a trek through the lush green forests to the Kudremukh peak, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and forests.   4. Day 4: Kemmangundi
