3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Ujjain for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Temple

    Early morning, start your adventure by visiting Mahakaleshwar Temple - one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. The temple opens at 3:00 AM, and it is recommended to reach before that to avoid the crowd. Witness the Bhasma Aarti at 4:00 AM, a unique ritual performed only in this temple. Afterward, enjoy a traditional breakfast in the nearby local market. In the afternoon, you can visit Kaliadeh Palace, located on the banks of Shipra river.   3. Day 3: Vikram Kirti Mandir and Raja Bharthari Cave

    Start your day by visiting Vikram Kirti Mandir, a museum that houses a collection of artifacts and manuscripts related to the life of King Vikramaditya. Afterward, head to Raja Bharthari Cave, located in the vicinity of the museum. The cave has a mythological connection with the life of Raja Bharthari. Afternoon, head to Kal Bhairav ​​Temple, one of the most sacred temples in Ujjain and is famous for its tantric rituals. The temple is located in the heart of the city and is surrounded by local shops where you can buy souvenirs. In the evening, you can visit the Bagri ki Haveli, located near the temple, which is a 200-year-old mansion that showcases the traditional architecture of the region.
