Kerala 3-Day Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Varkala Beach
    45 minutes (22 miles) from Trivandrum International Airport

    Start your day with a sunrise walk on Varkala Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in Kerala. Enjoy a traditional south Indian breakfast at one of the beachfront restaurants. Spend the afternoon exploring the cliffside shops, cafes and yoga studios. In the evening, watch the sunset from the cliffside and enjoy dinner at one of the beachfront restaurants.

  2. Day 2: Alleppey Backwaters
    2 hours 15 minutes (67 miles) from Varkala Beach

    Start your day early with a scenic drive to Alleppey. Enjoy a traditional Kerala breakfast at the famous Indian Coffee House. Board a houseboat and spend the day cruising through the backwaters. Enjoy a traditional Kerala lunch on board and visit a local village for a glimpse of rural life in Kerala. Return to the houseboat for dinner and spend the night on the backwaters.

  3. Day 3: Fort Kochi
    1 hour 45 minutes (46 miles) from Alleppey Backwaters

    Start your day with a visit to the famous Chinese Fishing Nets at Fort Kochi. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at one of the local cafes. Spend the afternoon exploring the historic fort and its many monuments, including the St. Francis Church and the Dutch Palace.
