2-Day Adventure Itinerary in Wayanadu, July 2023

  1. Day 1: Chembra Peak
    39 minutes (16.8 km) from Kalpetta Town

    Start your morning trek to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanadu. The trek takes around 3-4 hours, and once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. Afternoon, head to Pookode Lake for a serene boat ride amidst lush greenery. In the evening, visit Edakkal Caves, known for its ancient rock art and carvings.

  2. Day 2: Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 9 minutes (35.9 km) from Chembra Peak

    Spend your morning at the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna such as tigers, elephants, and leopards. Take a jeep safari or a nature walk to explore the sanctuary. In the afternoon, head to Meenmutty Waterfalls, a three-tiered waterfall that cascades from a height of 300 metres. End your day with a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India.
